In partnership with the GenCure Marrow Donor Program and Be The Match, we are helping retired Texas Ranger Adolfo “Al” Cuellar find a his marrow match. Join us Sunday, May 22 from 12:15-3:15 at Gonzales Church of Christ. All that is required to register is a simple cheek swab!
Ranger Cuellar was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in May 2014 and his only hope for a cure is a bone marrow transplant, but currently there is currently no matching donor for him on the registry. He served the great state of Texas for 28 years and now needs our help to find a match!
Ranger Cuellar, a Texas A&I alum, was a State Trooper for 10 years before being promoted to Texas Ranger in 1978. He was one of the first Hispanic modern-day Texas Rangers, and served out of San Antonio Company “D” until retiring in 1996. His story can be found at the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame in Waco.
